I'm happy that you have the energy to comment, given that you're prey again to the vagaries of the benefits system. I sincerely hope that the recent request for yet another reassessment turns out in your favour, Gare. No doubt we'll speak again soon, and if you ever work up the energy to come over to good, old Burslem, know that you are always welcome.
Very Best Wishes, my hirsute friend,
Dave.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08115443256449529220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498452656997468200.post-56689839270980257162017-03-19T16:28:27.045-07:002017-03-19T16:28:27.045-07:00Hi David,

Each time I was about to comment, the fatigue factor took over. Thus, finally, almost two months later, I now attempt to formulate some sort of response to your post.

You have indeed articulated a heartfelt, emotive and thoughtful blog post. I've no idea where we go after this, if indeed we go anywhere after being cognisant of this dimensional possibility. I do echo some of your thoughts on this matter.

Whatever does lie beyond this, the most resonating feature of your story is of your dad's calm acceptance of his passing.

David, my good friend, as you already know via our phone chats, I'm sorry for the passing of your dad. And yet, he lived well and he shall continue to be an inspiration to you. Many kind thoughts to you and your family.

Gary klahaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08613505424843475639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498452656997468200.post-63949268402003761712017-01-24T19:06:31.926-08:002017-01-24T19:06:31.926-08:00Hi bazza,

One does get the feeling, though, that his, as I say, was a life well lived and that he would not really have wanted to continue in the frail state in which he found himself near the end of his life. Indeed, I sometimes think that it was almost as if, not wanting perhaps to be here any longer, he partly willed his death. I think at least some solace can be taken from both these things.
Thanks for your continued interest.
Very Best Wishes,
David. It was, strangely, an interesting post to read full of useful references. I have read the Jeanette Winterson book that you mention which is a sort of companion volume to 'Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit'.
I hope your thinking things through before he passed away helped. But I fear not.
Best regards to you.
CLICK HERE for Bazza’s fabulous Blog ‘To Discover Ice’bazzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794010156639774028noreply@blogger.com
